Why I Write About Bengali Culture & Traditions

Growing up surrounded by the rich heritage of Bengal, I have always been fascinated by its stories, flavors, and emotions. From the aroma of fresh luchi and aloo dum on a lazy Sunday morning to the rhythmic verses of Shesher Kobita echoing in my mind, Bengali culture is not just something I admire—it’s something I live.

I believe that every tradition, every dish, and every piece of literature carries a story worth telling. Our culture is more than just Durga Puja celebrations or the sweetness of Mishti Doi—it’s a feeling of nostalgia, warmth, and deep-rooted love.

Through my writing, I want to share these little joys with the world—whether it’s exploring the history behind our favorite foods, unraveling the depth of Bengali literature, or simply reminiscing about the unique quirks of Bengali life.

If you love adda over cha, if Tagore’s words move you, and if food is more than just sustenance for you, then welcome to my space! Let’s celebrate Bengali culture together.
